It’s pretty simple to install Evince on windows. Go to live.gnome.org, download the .msi file and run the installer by double clicking on the file.
The installer itself has a few edges. On my system it didn’t create a entry inside the start menu, and the evince icon on the desktop doesn’t have a picture. But Evince runs fine.

Finally there’s new alternative to Adobe Reader, let’s hope that Evince can establish a little bit more open source on the windows desktop.

Danke für den Hinweis. Ich habe schon neulich nach der Windowsversion gesucht, als ich das in den Änderungen zu GNOME 2.28 las. Die fsfe hat noch eine schöne Liste freier verfügbarer pdfreader als Alternative zum üblichen Acrobatreader link.

Ich hätte es gern als Portable App gesehen .

Hi tobias, ja Evince für Windows als portable Anwendung wäre genial. Ich würde aber Gift darauf nehmen, dass das noch kommt.

Der Screenshot, den du im Artikel siehst, stammt von Windows XP. Ich denke, dass Evince auf jeder Windows-Version laufen wird.
