In der Beta Version funktioniert es bereits, Gnome ist damit 1000 mal besser.

Der Wert in der config wurde zu widget.allow-client-side-decoration umbenannt.

Bis zum Quantum-Update habe ich auf Extensions wie HTitle für Firefox gesetzt, danach wusste ich mir nicht anders zu helfen als die Gnome Extension „No Title Bar“ zu installieren – von dem about:config-Schalter wusste ich nichts. Der ist auf jeden Fall eleganter.

Vor ein paar Jahren bin ich ebenfalls einmal kurz zu Chromium abgewandert gewesen, bin dann aber recht schnell aus rein politischen Gründen wieder zu Firefox zurück gekehrt – auch auf Kosten von Leistung und Akku-Zeit. Einen Tod muss man ja immer sterben 🙂

Seit gestern funktioniert es aber nicht mehr. Schlüssel in about:config ist gesetzt und die Titelleiste unter Anpassungen abgeschaltet.
Sie erscheint aber trotzdem.
